This sub-module gives an overview of the most used sequencing platforms and their applications.

Aims

The aim of this sub-module is to make you aware of the different sequencing platforms currently (2014) in use and their advantages and disadvantages. Next, applications are discussed and indicated which platforms are appropriate.
