BioExcel and RItrainPlus are organising a workshop on ‘Upskilling and training users in science and research’, which aims to bring together experts, trainers and other staff involved in training, building capacity and upskilling users of core facilities (CFs), research infrastructures (RIs) or scientific software. The aims are to exchange experiences, define best practices in upskilling users and communities, and learn about new pedagogical ideas and tools.

Learning objectives:

This will be an interactive workshop where attendees will actively participate during most of the sessions, through discussions, group work or short presentations. The topics of the workshop have been selected based on the community interests gathered earlier in the year through a survey. After the course, participants will be able to:
- Assess the most suitable format and tools for a training session
- Evaluate methodologies to promote interactions in training
- Formulate adequate descriptions of the training offered, based on your audience and resources
- Compare methodologies for measuring impact of training
