Date: 19 March 2020 @ 09:00 - 17:00
Due to Coronavirus spreading in Belgium and Europe, VIB has made the difficult decision to cancel the Training on Responsible Research & Research Integrity . We will reschedule the training to a later date and reinvite your for this rescheduled training in due time.
More info and recommendations can be found here.
During this training, different aspects of ‘responsible research’ will be discussed.
Some background information will be given on relevant legislation, but a larger part of this session will cover the topic of research integrity. What is research misconduct? How often does it occur? What about the grey areas of ‘questionable research practices’? How far can one go in manipulating an image? And how to correctly give credit through authorship? In a second part, some background will be given on how organizations have picked up sustainability and responsibility in their policies.
