FAIR in Biological practice or how to work with your data
Date: 28 - 31 March 2023
Timezone: Edinburgh
Duration: 3 days
The way we disseminate scientific results is changing to include Open
Science and Findable Accessible Interoperable Reusable (FAIR)
principles. Well-organised data (and code) is not only the best
preparation for this, but it can also increase productivity. With the
introduction of Narrative CVs, both you and your research can be
recognised for these new research outputs.
In this hands-on, interactive workshop, we will teach how to:
- organize your data to work more efficiently
- make your outputs reusable
- build reputation and presence in the scientific community
Join Carpentries-style Workshop: FAIR in (Biological) Practice.
Understanding good data management principles is key to practising it.
This hands-on workshop is aimed at non-PI researchers in biomedical
sciences (PhD students, postdocs, technicians…) who are interested in
Open Science, FAIR principles and how to practically apply them to their
own workflows.
Across four half-day sessions, you will learn how to plan and use the
the correct set of tools to prepare your research outputs for public sharing
and reuse.
