ELIXIR Toxicology Community Webinar 2
Date: 13 November 2024 @ 15:30
You are invited to jon a preparatory webinar ahead of the workshop entitled:
"Enhancing Research Output: FAIR documentation and Tool Management for toxicology studies"
During this one-hour meeting participants can introduce themselves. In a co-creation-style we will finalize the details of the programme based on the scheme below. A short summary of the first workshop will be presented.
This workshop is a face-to-face, free-of-charge hands-on workshop, organised in the context of the first implementation study (INTOXICOM) of the ELIXIR Toxicology Community. See the ELIXIR Toxicology Community Whitepaper for more in-depth information about the community's goals. This workshop will feature keynote lectures and hands-on sessions. This workshop will continue with the concept of the FAIR Cookbook recipe and focus on what is needed to submit the recipe. We will also address existing tools to manage research output. Specifically, we will write DS-Wizard templates and focus here on the use of ontologies like EDAM to annotate research output and registering of the output in the suitable ELIXIR platform.
ELIXIR solutions we like to see adopted from the toxicology community include the DS-Wizard, EDAM ontology, and to continue to populate ELIXIR registries with toxicology resources, such as bio.tools, FAIRsharing, TeSS, and the FAIR Cookbook. This workshop will also feature hands-on lectures. Dr. Sara Morsy will give a hands-on lecture on How to make toxicology training materials FAIR. Expected outcomes include model templates for software, such as predictive toxicology solutions for EOSC and bio.tools and scientific models, such as AOPs, PBPK, and QSAR models.
The location of the second workshop is the University of Basel, Petersplatz 1, 4001 Basel Switzerland, Main building, Kollegienhaus - lecture hall (Hörsaal) 120, get directions from maps.
